Traditional putty glazing has been used since the 18th century and is still common place today.
Putty is an important line of defense in keeping your windows water tight, creating a perfect seal between glass and timber.
Old putty will crack and fall out. When you notice that happening in your windows give us a call.
Pictured above: This window is over 100 years old and the coloured glass looked to be original. Sanded back to bare timber prior to painting and with new putty sealing in the glass; this window should last another 100 years or more with proper upkeep.
