We are incredibly grateful to share that our project The Esplanade; A place to pause has been shortlisted in the 2026 Houses Awards - Apartment or Unit category.
Set within a 1930's Art Deco apartment building adjacent the Manly foreshore, the project was designed as a calm and adaptable home shaped by restraint, continuity and quiet functionality. The renovation focused on creating a stronger connection between light, materiality and everyday living while carefully retaining the character of the original apartment.
This project is especially meaningful to us as it is also Kirrili's own home, a deeply personal exploration of how we want to live, and an opportunity to test ideas around simplicity, flexibility and timelessness within a compact footprint.
