Who doesn’t love a clearance bargain.. Yes please 🙌🏻

Do you also love adding a little Mid Century Modern vibe into your home.. 🙌🏻

I always love heading over to Beacon Lighting whenever I do a lighting shopping trip, they always have gorgeous lighting options to choose from..

But honestly I never check the clearance section, but on this one trip I did, and I’m glad I did, because you never know what you’ll find, if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I do love a fab mid century modern piece, and especially through lighting options thrown in the mix here at home.

And this little beauty has definitely added that perfect MCM vibe, with all the ambiance and task lighting we needed here in our newly renovated bedroom🤎🤍

A little Home Tour & A camera roll dump, capturing our Essence as we head into Spring 2026 🤎🤍

P L A Y A I N T E R I O R S

These will be our memories to look back on, It truly does take time to create a home and spaces that bring you joy, yes 🙌🏻 I am a beige and Neutral tone lover always have and always will be..

However, I’m finding lately that I really don’t want to be changing much at all, I’m actually content with how everything has come together here at home, the paint tones, the timber and tones I’ve introduced and textures throughout are truly seamlessly working together, and then there’s the outside, vibe, that element of a white Mediterranean holiday destination surrounded by greenery, that just brings us everything we have been working and craving for years.. a holiday at home everyday 🙏🏻🥹

We still have a few more spaces to transform/renovate, being our Pantry and laundry and a few minor kitchen details to complete, then on to our Mediterranean coastal outdoor kitchen, will complete the entire vibe, I’ve been creating for the past few years here Rosanna Pieper bring on a beautiful spring/summer 2026 🙌🏻🤎🤍

Our Sanctuary is 90% complete.

Thought I’d do a little talk through of what is left to do, and a few of my non negotiable design tips, that I believe make things flow seamlessly within a space.

• The Travertine & Timber floor transition turned out beautifully.
• The square set ceiling cornices now flow perfectly throughout the entire home.
• Task, mood & ambient lighting, was selected in the design stage and now executed for the way we live.
• Colour drenched walls & ceilings, to name a few..

I can’t wait to start limewashing our ceiling, I’ll be possibly trying out my lime wash hack 2.0 depending how energetic I’m feeling and how challenging the angles will be..

And As they say it’s always the last little details that always make a difference..

Enjoy your Friday friends, cheers to the weekend! 🤎🤍

Limewash hack 2.0 on a budget ✨

Creating cosy Textured spaces with built in storage 🙌🏻

My sisters brief was: I want a Venitian plastered Marmorino look to finish off this project please 🙏🏻

So I started with two household paints and water, I basically used the same formula and ratio i use on all my lime wash hack projects.

Using the colour by Dulux in “Linseed” and Dulux in “Casper white quarter” but applied with a twist, instead of continuous clouds, I formed sculptural lines with some clouds in between, if that makes sense, and that technique created these soft flowy marble lines, that continued to evolve with each section, it was a bit of a risk but I totally got it as I kept applying it all on the surface, and the look turned out perfectly 🤌

I have now formed this new technique, so I thought I’d call this my lime washing hack 2.0 paint technique 🤭🙌🏻

However, I might need to rename this paint technique, because I feel that each time I will now try and create this look it will evolve… So any thoughts on a Rename are so very welcome 🙌🏻

Thought I’d share this little project my sister, her hubby and I have been working on the past few weeks, my brother in law did an amazing job building it all, we started with a plastered textured base, we used topping compound and applied it on like a Roman clay, left that dry for 24 hours, this left us with a beautiful raised texture, he then undercoated the plastered finish with a 4 in 1 primer and together we achieved this Venitian plastered Marmorino look for on this amazing built in cosy seating & storage piece, they now have to enjoy 👌🤎🤍

What do you guys think?!! Would you give this a go?!

Part 3 - Q & A’s let’s talk, WC dimensions, cavity slider, DIY Louvered window and tips on where I sourced our Travertine pavers.

And again I re-recorded the voiceover as I really tried to answer all questions I have received.

I thought I’d share Our Entire Ensuite dimension here as it’s been one of the most asked questions.

EnsuiteOverall dimensions: 3.3m x 1.5m

THE FLOOR TO CEILING CAVITY SLIDER: To achieve our floor to ceiling (With No bulk head) we recessed and custom fit the slider into our Celing, we purchased a stock standard 2040 internal door and customized it to a 2400 as I really wanted to conceal the slider, and when the WC is not used it sits perfectly into the cavity nib wall, I was after symmetry and a stock standard door would have ruined that flow, especially with a bulk head, this stage took a while to custom make, fit and perfect, but totally worth it!

THE LOUVERED WINDOW CASINGS: COMMENT “LINK” and I’ll dm you where we got ours from, and hit follow so I can find you in dm’s for the louvered casing link.

TRAVERTINE PAVERS: They were found on Facebook marketplace I scoured it for days and months until I found the right price and size 🙌🏻

I hope I’ve covered some of your questions, and shared a few extra tips here for you guys, thanks again for all your support, I can’t wait to share the next stage of our Reno with you very soon, we will be starting our Pantry and laundry Reno very soon, and I can’t wait to share how this space will turn out 👏👏👏

Hey Friday, Let’s take a first look this morning, a closer look at how the water 💦 hits all 🙌🏻

After 3 lots of sealer applications, and a whole month of waiting in between… thought I’d share the first shower with you, and up close to show you how the water hits the Microcement walls, sorry about the ensuite spam guys.. Buttttt… I’ve had so so many questions about it..

It finally hit me today, POV: When your design, planning, placement and all the long days, afternoons and evenings spent diying, with your best mate and Hubby, and it all works perfectly we spent so much time shaping the floor so that the water would drain perfectly and laying the travertine took some time as I didn’t want a step into the shower, but totally worth it., 🙌🏻

I know you’ve been waiting for part 3 the WC dimensions etc, and I will share that next.. however, I just had to share this reel with you, the shower nib wall works absolutely beautifully and placement of the rain head shower fall is spot on, the tap and handheld is perfectly placed as well, that was strategic, as I don’t want to be getting wet with cold water, before I get in, we want to be regulating the temperature from a comfortable distance before enjoying the shower 👌

It’s been 7 days and a long awaited month of sealing these walls for the third time, and now we can finally start using it all properly!

It’s these little moments I’m so grateful for, after living in this home for years without an ensuite, it’s actually been a dream come true.

I hope we have given you a little inspo to create your very own little lux textural haven!

Part two - let’s talk Shower & Faux Skylight dimensions ✨

And again I did a voiceover on this reel, as I have split this ensuite talk from a 3 minute talk & ramble lol 😂 I got into the other evening into 3 reels, I hope these answers & tips help guys.

Shower dimensions is 1500 x 1000 it’s a fab size, we also added a nib wall shelfie that tips 150mm we opted for a rain head shower and a hand held mounted on the wall, and seriously who doesn’t love a rain head shower and an option of a hand held in a shower space 🙌🏻

The panel light dimension is 600 x 600 it’s a light panel and we recessed it in to our ceiling and made it look like a skylight, it’s from Reduction Revolution it comes with 3 light settings we have ours set on daylight, I find daylight to be the warmest and more realistic setting!

I have linked the reel to this reel, of how we did the same hack in our walk in robe, it’s a fab budget friendly hack and works perfectly if you have a two story home or you just want a skylight look for less 🙌🏻✨

Stay tuned for part three, where I talk about our WC space, I hope these tips are helping you with creating your dream bathroom.

Let’s talk Vanity & Microcement Part 1 ✨

Part 1 of a 3 part series I’ve created on all questions answered on our ensuite Reno, from dimensions to a few tips on microcement and colour etc..

I’ve put together a voice over as I recorded this the other day, and just started talking not being mindful of how long it took me to cover each area, I spoke for around 3 mins straight, so it made sense me splitting each space in to 3 reels, I hope you enjoy this reel and I covered a few of your questions, stay tuned for part two!

And guys I am always available on dm if you have any questions and please dm away.. where together we will create beautiful functional spaces in our homes.

Our Diy Crazy Pave Ensuite Project - was totally worth it!

Answering a few of your questions, swipe through to see what we used & how achieved this look 👉

I added a few captures of our ensuite in the first few days of us laying a few pieces, and of the first morning I woke up too, after we tiled it all, ooofft that morning glow was 👌✨ and a few videos and details on how we achieved this look - the pattern starts to reveal it self as you start placing each individual piece, slow and steady it becomes your own Art work, a piece to enjoy everyday, this is what kept going through my mind when we started this project and all the memories started flowing back of when & how we also crazy paved our entire pool area a few years ago🙌🏻 😅

It was totally worth it however, not so conducive to the poor ol knees.. And yes 🙌🏻 I would definitely do it again and again 🤎

We simply couldn’t be happier with the result, a big thanks to all that voted on our stories over the last few months, we absolutely love your help & support, and together we can create beautiful spaces in our homes, that feel like us.

Love Ros & Troy x
