Today’s harvest is all about lemons 🍋
More than a dozen fresh lemons picked from my grow bag plant.
Last year I made homemade lemon pickle and we enjoyed it for months.
This year too, these beautiful homegrown lemons are going straight into another batch of pickle.

End of season harvest… and these long brinjals still showed up beautifully 💜

Not the biggest yield, not perfect either—but honestly, this is what I love about growing food. Even when the season is slowing down, the plants keep giving in their own way.

• Luffa (Ridge gourd) – loves a bit of warmth, keeps producing if planted in December
• Chikkudukaya (Broad beans) – perfect for cooler weather, easy and rewarding
• Brinjal (Eggplant) – will continue fruiting if already established

My sponge gourd (luffa) plant is unstoppable! 🌿
It spread all over the fence and gave me 20+ gourds in just one harvest 😍

Growing tips:
✔ Needs strong support (trellis/fence)
✔ Loves full sunlight ☀️
✔ Water regularly but avoid waterlogging
✔ Harvest young for best taste
✔ Let a few mature for natural loofah sponges

Fresh Thai Round Green eggplant harvest from my garden today 🌱 These tiny round brinjals grow beautifully and will survive through winter with proper care.
Growing tip: Plant in full sun, water regularly, and mulch well to protect roots during cold weather. Perfect for curries and stir-fries.

This year both my long beans and short beans produced equally well. The plants kept flowering and giving fresh, tender pods almost every day. So happy to see baskets filling up from just a few plants!

Growing tips:
Pick beans regularly to encourage more flowering.
Provide strong support for climbers.
Add compost once in 3–4 weeks.
Water deeply but avoid waterlogging.
Harvest when pods are young and tender for best

When the harvest is good and the basket is full of colours, it brings a quiet kind of happiness. Fresh vegetables, deep greens, and the soft purple of butterfly flowers brightening the garden. Simple moments like these make all the effort worth it. Grateful for every little bloom and blessing.

Not every day in the garden is green.
Some days it’s white, purple, red, and deep green.

White brinjal glowing softly,
bitter melon dressed in fresh green,
red peppers bringing the fire,
purple eggplant grounding it all.

Nature never rushes, never repeats itself.
Every basket tells a different story,
painted slowly, grown honestly. 🌿🍆🌶️
