The rug at Melody House is the result of a long collaboration.

Supplied by Sam Kasten, the rugs are created by a Tibetan family in Nepal whose weaving tradition spans more than two centuries. Today, that work continues within a wider community of skilled artisans, where entire families are involved in spinning and weaving by hand.

The process remains largely unchanged, using natural fibres, hand-made techniques, and knowledge passed down through generations. There’s no separation between maker and material, each piece is shaped slowly through repetition and experience.

Clifton - a gracious shingle and stucco home dating from the 1920’s, now artfully re-positioned for the next century of living. Our clients loved the home’s classic architectural elements, but were frustrated by the limitations of its original layout. We responded by introducing a generous series of inter-connected spaces that maintain the home’s character while inviting light, landscape views and harbour-side breezes into daily rhythm of life.
