I am a sucker for vintage kanthas and have a supply of them which I use on the bed, soda, chairs, dining table and also outdoors to sit on. I rotate them regularly when I fancy a change of colour and styling. Here are two of my favourites on the back of the sofa and on the table. I usually buy them from THE CLOTH SHOP as they have by far the best ones. I shall be in London in less than four weeks and buying another kantha is definitely top of my priorities!

Following my penultimate post with images my London sitting room, due to popular demand here are some more images of my two bedroom London home (swipe right). I am currently Sydney based but still own this home and have tenants in it. I left chandeliers, overmantle mirrors and some furniture for the tenants and thankfully they are very respectful of them. The stair runner is my own design - made from three vintage Peruvian frazadas, cut to size and laid to my design spec. It has been there for over ten years and shows no sign of wear! I do miss my London home and who knows what the future holds. In the meantime I’m renting in Sydney - I’m up to my 5th rental in five years due to damp, mould and water ingress. My current home is a 6th floor apartment in a 25 year old building with no character but I have injected plenty of style, character and colour with all of my things. I love an eclectic mix of styles, don’t you?

Swipe right to see the flowers I bought this morning from the local market. Four bunches for AUS$60 (about £32)! The blossom I bought two weeks ago has died and dropped off but the green leaf shoots are delightful. BTW it is going to be a scorcher today (30c), just one random hot day and then the temps revert to seasonal ones thankfully. Golly I miss my London sitting room. I still own the apartment but I sold most of the furniture (I left a few pieces for tenants) and a lot of the decorative items before I moved to Sydney. In hindsight I wish I had kept a lot of the decorative items but what a nightmare it would have been having to pack them every time I moved here in Sydney - five times in five years!!
