Not your standard site… not your standard duplex 🔥

This one pushed the limits.

An irregular-shaped corner block with multiple constraints — the kind of site most would avoid or struggle to make work. On top of that, navigating the Complying Development Code on a site like this comes with its own set of challenges.

But when you understand the rules properly, CDC still opens doors that many don’t realise.

We worked through the constraints, maximised the site, and delivered a design that feels effortless — flowing curves, strong street presence, and a layout that makes the most of every angle.

Now approved through CDC and under construction, this project is another example of turning complexity into opportunity.

Turning challenges into opportunities in Panania

This site came with its fair share of hurdles flood-affected land and easements that most would see as deal-breakers. But with the right design strategy and a deep understanding of the Complying Development Code, we secured full approval through CDC.

The result? A refined duplex design that carries the Campbell Hill signature soft curves, symmetry, and a bold presence that elevates the streetscape.

Pushing the boundaries in Padstow

This duplex proves what’s possible when design meets strategy.

With less than a 15m frontage below the minimum required in the LEP, most would rule out a dual occupancy here. But through Complying Development, we unlocked the potential and delivered a bold design that brings the Campbell Hill signature to life.

Sweeping arches, deep-set glazing, layered greenery, and soft render tones create a statement that feels far beyond what most imagine a duplex can be.

This project is a reminder: the rules don’t just restrict with the right knowledge, they can unlock opportunity.
