CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM RESIDENTIAL JOB SITES AROUND GREATER SYDNEY. UTE PREFERRED. TOOLS & PETROL ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED.
WEEKLY REPORTING TO OUR OFFICE ON THE NORTHERN BEACHES, AND TRAVEL AROUND GREATER SYDNEY IS REQUIRED. TOOLS PROVIDED.
ABOUT US & THE ROLE:
Duraglaze has been resurfacing and renovating swimming pools in Sydney, NSW for over 55 years. Today we are seeking individuals (men and women) who are motivated to learn the trade, and advance into a senior role.
We are currently seeking individuals willing to join our team, on full time basis. This individual will report to our Site Foreman, and Project Manager.
The right candidate will have trade experience and transferable skills that can be applied to our work and processes.
DAILY TASKS & EXPECTATIONS:
When starting with us you will be trained by your supervisor on the following and expected to perform and execute at or above satisfactory level:
- Preparation of pool surfaces, including fibreglass, concrete, fully tiled surfaces
- Grinding osmosis in fibreglass, bogging and mixing resin
- Sealing surfaces and mixing resins
- Laminating fibreglass to pool surface
- Site cleanup, and taking care of client property
- Wearing PPE, and site safety
- Traveling to and from job sites in Greater Sydney
- Work outdoors in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Learn new skills, solve problems, and CARE about quality
- Work with a team and independently if required
- Be motivated to grow and advance through the company
- Have a positive attitude, and enjoy what you do
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Comfortable using power tools (grinders, sanders, drills, jackhammers, etc)
- Attention to detail and problem solving ability
- Ability to work in an organised, clean and orderly manner
- Ability to use painting tools such as rollers, brushes, sanders, etc.
-Additional skills a bonus including, tiling, grouting, paving, painting, electrical and plumbing.
-Not afraid of hard work, dirty hands and a bit of dust
-Punctual, and reliable a must
