Don’t be so... Drummoyne house and garden arrival setting, a balanced and impactful composition that is hard to walk away from. An alluring sense of arrival through a calming, confident planting structure. This angular viewpoint captures the nourishment the planting form provides to simple, beautiful architecture.

Raising the pool access on this project with a decked board walk leading to the destination creates a garden in emphasis. A podium journey where the various details of the garden can be fully appreciated.

A compelling snapshot poolside on this mid-century modern IL-D project.

Simple, uplifting and suggestive. The crisp geometry and careful counterbalance of the swimming pool with its uplifting tones set against a collection of textural rhythm through the means of soft, punctuating, experimental planting.

BIG IMPACT. Let’s do it.

This entry courtyard in Bellevue Hill was once a dysfunctional sunken lawn area lacking life and purpose. Our client, an avid cactus lover commissioned us to create a high-impact visual space. Using a refined selection of cactus and succulents we curated a distinctly sculptural display garden setting. A beautiful Silk Floss Tree acts as a structural pivot planting and provides a level of seclusion and dexterity. In our approach we wanted to create a cactus focussed garden setting that was inviting, well balanced and not overly harsh or sterile.

A floating burnished concrete platform acts as a daybed retreat and transition between two different zones in our Ballerina Garden. The concrete was engineered and tied back to a footing hidden discretely underneath the house to allow it to fully cantilever. A circular cutout with a Japanese Maple suggests a playful interaction between built and natural forms.

Layers of colour and form running deep on our Bloom Garden. A highly florescent perennial cottage front garden setting. The main garden is terraced with a stone wall that allows the planting to interact with its textured surface.

Welcome HONE.

As the days get warmer and longer, seasonally the way we live and like to utilise our properties becomes more of a focus. Can you imagine coming home to this? This is the outlook from the rear of the house at our Hone Garden. When in the garden it feels alive and seductive. It whispers to you and draws you in.

Plants are just great, yeh?

A layered combination of colour, texture and style seen here in our Ballerina Garden. Succulents, perennials and grasses all as one happy assemblage. It’s brings us great pleasure exploring the many various combinations. It’s the main reason we do what we do, and why we love what we do.
