This awards season has been another big one, and I’ve just received the news that I have been awarded Silver in the Women in Trades category.

After more than three decades in the trades industry, this recognition means a great deal. Not because of the title itself, but because of the people and journey behind it.

To my family, friends, work associates, clients, suppliers, and everyone who has supported me over the years: thank you. This win is as much yours as it is mine. I am grateful to have had so many good people in my corner.

This season has also given me pause to reflect on what success really means.

For me, Brushwood Fencing Australia and my work journey have never just been about how big the business becomes or how much money we make, although I am incredibly proud and grateful for how far we have come.

What matters most is leading with integrity, standing by your values, doing quality work, and surrounding yourself with people who share the same principles.

I’m proud of the business we have built, the industry I continue to be part of, and the example I hope to set for other women in trades.
