Most commercial painting quotes talk about price and colour.

Far fewer talk about WHS, licensing and compliance, and that's where projects get risky for facility managers, strata committees and business owners.

If your painters are working at height, around the public or near sensitive equipment, you should be asking:

➡️ Are they fully licensed and insured for commercial work in QLD?

➡️ Do they use properly erected and inspected scaffolding or elevating work platforms (EWPs) – not just stretching off ladders?

➡️ Are operators of boom lifts or other powered access equipment (plant) trained and ticketed?

➡️ Are fall-prevention systems actually in place and used (not just written in a policy)?

➡️ How are fumes, overspray and waste managed to meet environmental rules in Brisbane?

➡️ What documentation will you receive at the end of the job?

Before you sign your next commercial painting contract, it's worth pausing and asking:
