It’s fantastic to see the Barossa in the spotlight again for this year’s AFL Gather Round.

At JBG Architects, we’re proud supporters of grassroots footy, and we’ve also helped design some of the spaces that will be part of the action over the weekend, from the Barossa Visitor Information Centre to Tanunda Recreation Park.

This seaside sanctuary is the perfect case study for engaging an architect to solve the challenges of a complex site.

Our brief was to create the owners a new home on their confined block, providing for a beachside lifestyle complete with secluded pool courtyard plus front terrace wrapped in a stylish curved breezeblock wall, enhancing privacy while maintaining a connection to the streetscape.

By designing upwards, refreshing coastal breezes and views of the adjacent wetlands, the city, and across to the hills are captured throughout the main living spaces.

Inspired by Palm Springs with a pop of colour, our clients have fallen in love with their new home.

At just 14 years old, Isabelle Zander has been selected to play for in the Under 18 Girls League and the state under 16s squad - incredible achievements.

Originally from the Isabelle is the youngest player on the Central District list.
