It's cold, damp and wet, but us gardeners keep on growing and going. Juggling work, ill health and life, I finally started digging up my Dahlia Clumps.

This year wasn't the best for us down in Victoria, but we soldier on! So many dahlia plants did not flower for me, so the majority of my stock will now be mystery tubers. So with a rough label of those who did flower, the rest will be a surprise for me next season.

As I dug up in certain areas, the wool I buried has broken down, and encouraged HEAPS of worms! This made me very happy 😊 Not only do we need to plant according to our climate, we need to improve our soil to support our plants.

So with 1 section dug up, washed and drying out, I feel like I've made a decent start. Now onto succession planting more seedlings, and germinating for spring. My greenhouse is getting a workout 💪

Hello Possums!

The Gladioli was the favourite flower of the late Dame Edna Everage, an Australian icon. If you are not familiar with her, please look her up!

I received some beautiful Glady's from my mums garden, so naturally made them available in my roadside stand. More Flower Jars will be available tomorrow, priced between $15 to $25.

We also have some Worm tea available, $3 per bottle or 4 for $10. Keep those plants happy 😊

Slow progress in my greenhouse! The poo thing has taken a beating with fallen branches, wind and wild weather but she's still standing!

Photo 1: The end of the summer season, tomato's finishing up and seedlings busting to be planted out.

Photo 2: A bit of a joke but I actually had a couple of people asking, how long will the wool take to grow!

Fun Fact: Wool comes from sheep 🐑 🤣

Photo 3: Relining the floor with cardboard and thinking maybe I'll get some gravel in to help suppress the weeds and grass trying to come in.

Still got lots to do and might move the tall shelf, as it'll cast a shadow on the 2 other beds. Seedlings need to be repotted or popped out in the garden.

Juggling life and gardening is fun 😁

Mother's Day has finally arrived! All orders have been delivered and some smiles made around the district!

So very thankful to all those who put in an order, last minute or not 😀 I didn't advertise for Mother's day as I wasn't sure what I would have leftovers this week.

Luckily I was able to source Flowers from other growers, to fulfil the orders made.

Today we celebrated the life of my relative, Don Pitman. Don and I were related through my great grandparents, who had 13 children, 1 of which was my grandfather, and another was Don's mother.

I was asked by Don's Family to provide flowers for his funeral today, and I couldn't have been more honoured. My first try at creating an arrangement for the casket and I think it turned out prefect. My assistant (Mum) and I, popped these beautiful Autumn toned Flowers together, and I think Don would have been pretty happy with them.

Cheers to Don and his wonderful fulfilled life ❤️
