PUMPKIN SCONE TIPS!
REN'S PUMPKIN SCONE RECIPE
2/3 sugar
2 heaped tabsp real butter (not margarine)
1/4 teasp salt
1 chook egg
1 cup cold boiled pieces of pumpkin
2 1/4 cup SR flour
Oven at 210Β°C on the top shelf of the oven.
METHOD
In a blender, blitz butter, sugar and salt. Add egg and pumpkin and blitz.
In a bowl, mix pumpkin mix and flour. Mix until just combined. On a floured oven tray place the mix and press out with flour on the top of the mix too into a rectangle. Press cut the squares and put in the oven. 10-15 should do the trick, but keep an eye on it. Check it's cooked with a knife. If it comes out clean, it's done!
Serve with real butter as a minimum! I'm busy making strawberry jam with the kids.
