David Hockney (1937–2026) RIP

I have always loved the way David Hockney captured his landscapes/scenes through shape and colour unapologetically. Almost with childlike freedom and expression, not worrying about the intricate details, but providing a new perspective on what was in front or around him.

Absolute legend 👏 And what a phenomenal legacy he has left through his artwork.

Waitlist for my next Social Media for Artists Workshop

Did you miss the last "Social Media for Artists" workshop?

I recently applied for a round of funding to keep the costs down, but unfortunately, I wasn’t successful. While I’m bummed I can't offer it for its reduced price, I’ve decided that if there is enough interest, I will run it again.

I’m currently opening a waitlist for a second workshop. Once we have enough artists ready, I’ll set a date! Because this session won't be funded, the investment will be approximately $120 per person, covering three hours of deep-dive strategy and venue hire.

Where is your favourite town in the Darling Downs?

Thank you Penny for choosing a piece I created of the gorgeous town of Greenmount in the Darling Downs region.

This painting captures the glorious sunsets with the gentle cows grazing at Dusk, looking west from Greenmount.

There is something so calming about watching these beautiful creatures on this beautiful landscape. I am continually drawn to capturing our gorgeous region as it brings me so much inner peace and calm as I hope it does to those who see my work.
