Hello. Yes we are all well and fighting fit, even though the cold mornings slow us down. Most of our current clients now know and seen us as Jucology with Nav in t he Silver van and myself in the silver Ute. For all our our previous clients and prospective new visitors to our page, we have re branded as JUCOLOGY. This name reflects my connection with my Jan Juc home of 15 years and also Nav, 3rd generation torquay, who runs the maintenance side of our business.

We had the pleasure of resurrecting a disaster in Charlemont. This house and land was presented on handover by the builder with boggy paths, 5 leaks in front garden with 1 other big leak in the rear path, inappropriate planting and terrible drainage issues with no rear step for safe rear access. Complete disregard to water conservation, future investment and common sense. To keep costs down we allowed 3 days, $4k and priority to basic user friendly solutions.

I’ve recently had the pleasure of doing one of my favourite garden styles. This Japanese style mini landscape includes a small mountain with moss and ancient pine. Fallen slabs of stone and broken slate in a fish scale pattern suggest a running river. This arrangement runs along side the low land forest of Nandina, tussock grass and dicondra repens.

After 16 years as Drew’s Outdoor Solutions we are now trading as JUCOLOGY. I’ve updated my branding on the fleet of 2 vehicles. Nav has been with me for over 4 years and is enjoying the maintenance side of the business while helping me on our garden restoration and small landscaping projects. Our JUCOLOGY ethos is to achieve beautiful gardens with minimal impact on the environment and making the most of what we have available.

Young Nav top dressing this Aireys Inlet lawn with triple washed sand. Good idea this time of year to fill over small gaps and holes in your lawn. You can use Sandy loam however I prefer 100% sand as it helps with drainage and will not suffocate the grass.

Dehydrated Prickly Pear rabbit sculpture.
Low maintenance and drought resistant but remember to keep them small and in pots as they are an invasive w**d. Like pig face (karkalla) you can eat to flower and the flesh.
