Found some unwanted house guests during recent demolition works on a 1950's Queenslander. The termites attacked the untreated pine from previous renovation works within the home. The previous owner also failed to keep up termite inspections and treatments so the home had multiple locations of termite attack. When doing any renovation works ensure you use treated timber at all times to reduce the chances of termite attack and maintain your termite barrier or chemical treatments.
It's your greatest asset (besides your family) and worth looking after.
