Earlier this year, we joined forces with Deidre from Downer Group for an Ibis rescue mission. Workers a the Townsville Airport had noticed an Ibis stuck in a tree - tangled by fishing line around its legs. Together, we were able to remove the branch it was caught on, free the fishing line from its leg and our feathered friend was released back into the Town Common!

After the storms, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and clean up! Every fallen tree has a story, and it’s our job to read that story and remove the tree without causing any more damage! You definately need your thinking cap on when cleaning up trees under load and on top of structures (here are some pics from a property that lost 2 trees in the big NQ wet this year).

🩹 In case of a workplace emergency, it’s better to be the hero than to just watch in horror! 🦸‍♀️ Equip yourself with first aid training. At Yard By Yard we keep our first aid and CPR training up-to-date. Thanks to Real Response who use simulated emergencies to make the training more realistic. A big thanks to Jason who just happened to be volunteered and please note no arborists were hurt in this training. 💼
