This lawn looked great but wasn’t. It was FULL of thatch. In some spots it was over ankle deep. Over 14 bags of HAY removed from this lawn. We’ll share pictures in a week or so when it’s back to looking lush- without the safety issues!
What is thatch?
“It’s a layer of dead (and almost dead) grass that’s caught in an annoying limbo, lying between the lush, green, healthy vegetation of your lawn above and the soil root system below”
Basically it means the grass has grown super tall- it’s soft and squishy with lots of dead hay like matter in the middle. Why is this bad?
1.it’s a safety issue.. no one needs to roll an ankle when walking on grass
2.your grass isn’t as healthy as you think.
But we can fix it. A de thatch- simple terms cutting your lawn super low (which will look terrible, but- will reset your lawn level much lower and safer and will come back greener than ever)
Now is the time to reset your lawn. We Do warn you- it will look bad (and almost dead) in the interim. But give it a week or two and you’ll be thanking us! Don’t neglect your lawn this spring. Get in touch and de thatch asap!

Tracy recently had some time away after a small hand operation and her clients missed her greatly! She wouldn’t come back until she was A-ok cause she Always gives it 100%.
