A wrap of some of our recent projects featured in the Christmas newsletter:

Pic 1: The Aquinas Precinct Project – Stage Two of the most recent master plan for Cabra Dominican College, Cumberland Park, taking shape on site.

Pic 2: Recently announced, the Nazareth Catholic College Year 10 campus in Kidman Park. A render of the proposed façade at 27 Valetta Road. We look forward to revealing some of the exciting design details for this project.

Pic 3: The new Heart of the School project for St Joseph’s School Port Lincoln. Construction is set to begin in the New Year.

Pic 4: Cross-laminated and glue-laminated timber construction details at the Limestone Coast Technical College, which is nearing completion in Mt Gambier.

Pics 5&6: Proposed upgrades for Copperhouse Court and Yeltana Aged Care facilities in Whyalla, where construction will soon commence.

The Limestone Coast Technical College in Mt Gambier is taking shape!

It's exciting to see all the materials coming together, with local timber and limestone being the stars of this project- capturing the true essence of the Limestone Coast. Great work by Kennett in successfully bringing these together in construction.

We’d like to wish Associate Hariklia Pontikinas a warm congratulations on her ten-year anniversary at Russell & Yelland.

A highly driven member of our team, Hari has consistently led and contributed to a strong stable of projects during her time with the practice – many of them award-winning or commended.

Hari joined us as an architectural graduate in mid-2015, and quickly developed a reputation for her focus and dedication to design excellence through materiality and the interiors experience. Engaged with industry, she has been a juror for both the Learning Environments Australasia (LEA) and Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) Awards and a guest speaker for Parlour’s Autumn Salon.

We thank Hari for her everything she brings to our team and look forward to seeing what the next ten years will bring!

In last week’s newsletter we shared the latest updates from R&Y projects – both recently completed and emerging on site.

Students and staff are now enjoying bright and connected administration and learning facilities at St John’s Campus, Samaritan College in Whyalla; and at St Gabriel’s School in Enfield.

Meanwhile, the new Hope Centre at St Joseph’s School, Port Lincoln, is a demonstration of growing independence for young learners in upper primary levels.

And the good news continues this week as we congratulate Jessica Weiland, who has been promoted to the level of Associate at R&Y. Since joining our team back in 2016, Jessica’s dedication to delivery of our education and aged care projects has been significant. She has contributed to some award-winning projects, including the Port Lincoln High School Redevelopment and several Nazareth Catholic College developments, including the Kidman Park campus.

Recently, she has overseen the design of Antonio Catholic School’s two-storey upper primary facility, delivered in late 2024. She is currently Project Architect on two major projects in Mt Gambier: the Limestone Coast Technical College and the Forestry Centre of Excellence.

We couldn’t be happier for Jess, who steps into the Associate level role alongside Hariklia Pontikinas and Rhiana Bell. With the steep trajectory she has demonstrated, we’re sure she is destined for even greater heights.
