Good read here. Up to 40% of household water is used on our gardens/ outdoors. Making sure the Retic is working efficiently or is upgraded to be waterwise, is a great way to cut your water usage this summer

Here’s a few more tips

💧Mulch your gardens
💧Install waterwise plants
💧Apply wetting agents to your soil
💧Install drip irrigation over spray irrigation
💧Divide your Retic system into hydrozones
💧Don’t shower for 10 minutes

Save money while saving water 💦

A fundamental ingredient for life, water is one of the most valuable resources on the planet.

Hot and dry start to spring. ☀️ 💧 🌸

Perth has just posted its hottest September on record and the driest in 42 years, setting the scene for a sizzling spring and summer to come.

The city's average maximum was 22.9 degrees Celsius, which is 2.6°C higher than the September average of 20.3°C, while it was also an exceptionally dry month with just 31.4 millimetres of rain recorded — well short of the 84.8mm average.

"That makes it the driest September we've seen since 1977," BOM forecaster Angus Moore said.

Mr Moore said the warmth felt in Perth during the first month of spring is likely to continue for the rest of the season and and trickle into summer.

The Bureau of Meteorology's Climate Outlook suggests maximum temperatures are highly likely to be above average over much of Australia during the remainder of the year, increasing the chance of early heat waves.
