♦️ Grind and Seal.
Sealed concrete, the gloss is achieved from a topical sealer. The process is simpler and involves less grinding, honing, and polishing steps. In terms of durability and benefits, polished concrete has a much longer lifetime expectancy and is much more durable, especially in areas with high traffic. We typically recommend sealed concrete as a more affordable alternative to polished concrete.
♦️ Machine Polished Concrete.
Polished concrete is the mechanical process of honing and polishing the surface of an existing concrete slab using engineered floor grinders fitted with industrial diamond abrasives. During this process, the concrete is ground, honed, and polished using finer grits of diamond abrasives until the floor reaches the desired level of shine.
♦️ Concrete Patina Staining.
Patina Stain is economical, durable, versatile, elegant and easy to maintain.
Colour is deposited by chemical reaction under the surface and will not fade, chip, crack or peel.
The colour pattern produced is unique to each concrete surface and cannot be duplicated.
Patina stain transforms an ordinary concrete slab into a luxurious floor, resembling marble or glazed stone.
Stained and scored, it creates unique and expensive looking flooring at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.
♦️ Concrete Grinding.
Concrete grinding is the process of smoothing rough concrete surfaces. During the concrete grinding process, an abrasive tool with diamond attachment smooths the rough surface. All coatings, stains, and surface cracks are removed along with the top layer to reveal a smooth finish.
Once the grinding has been completed and the smooth surface is left, any type of flooring option can be installed with ease. Floor preparation is key in the longevity of any kind of flooring option.
