【Gift】 Hendra Hidayat Relief Sculpture for the Hendra Hidayat Museum

Not just a space. Not just a memory.

For many who learned from him, worked beside him, or walked closely with him, this museum feels like meeting him once again and evokes deep emotions.

Before this museum took shape, there was a moment that quietly affirmed how deeply his life had touched others.

On November 5, 2025, a special gift of wall relief sculpture was presented by as a mark of respect and gratitude to drg. Hendra Hidayat, Sp.BM in , a dental learning center founded by him and his daughter, Dr. Debra Hidayat.

The gift came from Walpix Australia, where he was regarded not only as a professional figure, but as a true father figure whose influence shaped both character and purpose.

That moment became one of the sparks behind the creation of this museum.

On Hendra Hidayat's birthday, January 10, 2026, the museum was officially opened.

It unfolded in tears and shared silence, accompanied by the emotion of students, close friends, and family who had walked beside him throughout his life. What filled the room that day was not ceremony, but gratitude, longing, and deep respect.

Inside this small space lives the quiet moments that shaped a long journey of drg. Hendra Hidayat, Sp.BM, the pioneer of oral surgery and dental implantology in Indonesia.

The instruments he once held. The books he returned to again and again. His journey in the development of dentistry in Indonesia.

Hendra Hidayat never taught techniques alone. He taught how to think. How to work with care. How to serve with humility.

Many of his students came here carrying the same feeling. Everybody came with longing, and left with a clear understanding that the values he lived by never disappeared.

This museum was not created to glorify a figure. It was created to remind us that knowledge shared with sincerity will always continue through others.

His footsteps may rest here.
But for those who were shaped by him, his journey continues in the way of working, in the way of teaching, and in the way of serving.
