**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist experienced arborists in tree maintenance, including pruning, planting, and removal.
- Learn and apply safety protocols and best practices in tree care and worksite safety.
- Participate in training sessions and hands-on workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Develop an understanding of tree species, health assessments, and environmental factors affecting trees.
- Develop tree climbing techniques and operate plant & equipment.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Strong interest in arboriculture and environmental care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to various outdoor working conditions.
- Basic physical fitness to perform manual labor and handle climbing equipment.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
- Reliable work ethic and punctuality; willingness to commit to full-time hours (min. 38 hours per week).
- Be dedicated and prepared to obtain a formal CERT 3 qualifications
- Be willing to start early in the morning and work flexible hours.
- Have a strong work ethic.
- Preference to hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)
- Have or willing to obtain a current Police Check (National Police Certificate)
- Hold a current Australian manual driver’s licence.
