They say “abs are made in the kitchen”
For us, our work muscles are made not only on site but all over the place managing schedules, coordination with trades, suppliers, builders etc….

Here in Queens Park, an “easy” 3-4 months insurance job turned into a 2 years roller coaster.
For us, a real mess as every month the job kept being pushed and pushed until the insurance builder deserted the job.
For our clients who also a year and a half in got dropped by the insurance leaving out with the kids in what was meant to be a “temporary accommodation”, then 2, then 3…

I always say that we judge the quality of a company not in the good days, but in days of adversity, and by its ability to find solutions to the problems coming our way.

I also say that our job is not a science like 1+1=2 but more of an art, where sometimes by mixing the wrong colours can create an unexpected beautiful mix…

So to everyone out there blaming on other, waiting for the end for the pretty pictures, give crap about the lives that are dependent of a job, and to everyone judging the quality of a result from the outside, we most definitely won’t work together.

And to all the others who value knowledge, patience, passion and vulnerability, you are welcome to join the family!

The best projects aren’t built on drawings. They’re built on relationships.

Meet Athan, from Sculpta Constructions .

Over a year ago, we started collaborating on the joinery design for their state-of-the-art renovation and extension in Burwood.

From day one, our shared obsession with detail has allowed us to work as one team, bridging the gap between design and construction, anticipating challenges and avoiding the miscommunication that too often compromises great projects.

Installation started a few months ago, and the level of precision we’ve achieved is close to 100%.

Not by luck. Not by rushing.

But because we took the time to develop the design, engineer every detail properly and give the installation the attention it deserves.

Great craftsmanship starts long before anyone picks up a tool.

Athan is more than a builder. He’s a passionate professional who refuses to settle for average.

Do we argue over details? Absolutely. Sometimes over a few millimetres.

But there’s one thing we’ll never argue about: compromising on quality.

And that’s exactly why this collaboration works.

Different expertise. Same standards. Zero shortcuts.

Netflix special? More like a Netflix Normal about the everyday special requests:
- discount for cash?
- my husband can install, how much do I save?
- my friend said you shouldn’t charge for design
- I’m ready to pay deposit, yes quote was in 2021 but it should be the same price I think…
- if you give me all your trades contact details I can pay them myself!
I could go forever! What is your crazy request??

“I can’t change the world but I can make it look f****ng GOOD”
- tbt to the forced demolition of Frenchitecture in Double Bay due to redevelopment of the area 4 years ago, a few months after Covid lockdowns and madness.
It hasn’t been an easy grief but the journey has built us to where we are now.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, do you agree?

Apparently, turning childhood coping mechanisms into a premium design service is a recognised career path!

We notice everything. We anticipate problems before they happen. We obsess over details nobody else sees, and then apologise for sending an invoice.

The good news: We will always go the extra mile.
The bad news: we used to forget to charge for it 🤭
