KEEPING SHOPPERS SAFE IN EMERGENCIES
For more than two decades, the Port Central retail complex has relied on NC Doors to ensure its shoppers are safe in the event of fire or another emergency requiring them to exit rapidly.
So, when an emergency fire door’s frame was found to be water and rust-damaged, we arrived with a fully finished replacement door manufactured in our Wauchope factory.
Being able to quickly fabricate and then install a CAD-profiled door and frame precisely sized, painted, fitted with the mandatory fire tags and compliant hardware made the task of cutting out and replacing the damaged frame and door quick and seamless.
Our team of experienced installers was able to complete the job in hours, instead of days.

Most people choose paint, some prefer a timber-look veneer. But a light stain really highlights the grain in these internal timber doors, drying in our painting bay. They’ve already been CAD profiled for a perfect fit and had all their hardware cut-outs removed. Next, the handles, locks and hinges will be fitted in our factory before they arrive on site, each one installed in minutes because all the time-consuming carpentry and painting has been done. NC Doors are strata specialists, so installing our custom-made fire-rated entry doors on apartment buildings like Port Macquarie’s smick new Galerie building is pretty routine – under 30 minutes to hang each door. The Galerie’s penthouse apartment owner Kai Mysliwiecz, who also owns the penthouse in the Solaris building in Forster, watched them as they installed the apartment’s two entry doors. Now, Mr Mysliwiecz admits to being ‘hard to impress’, but without being asked for a plug, he recommended NC Doors for the next stages of the Solaris complex.
