You always discover something new in the garden. While pulling a few weeds today, I noticed a fungus growing in the mulch that I hadn’t seen before. There was a few of them. Strangely satisfying to pull out the white fungus basket What strange thing have you found in your garden? Leave in the comments.

Weekend Chef Special

Warm up this weekend with our house made Beef and Burgundy Pie.

Our chef has slow braised tender beef in red wine with onions, garlic and whole shallots, then topped it with golden short crust pastry and served it with sauteed winter vegetables.

Rich, hearty and perfect for a winter lunch in the garden.

Available this weekend at The Garden Feast Cafe, while stocks last.

GARDENING TIP
If I had to choose one Plant that would tolerate everything Wyndham has to offer, it would be a Correa otherwise known as a Native fuchsia. They were found locally in the area where they can tolerate dry, shade, clay and full sun. Basically, if you can’t grow a Native fuchsia, it’s time to get some green concrete. Plenty in stock right now and in flower.

PURPLE GREVILLEA DOROTHY GORDON
A recent plant introduction with such a unique purple colour to the flower. The nectar is loved by all our honey eaters, wattle birds and lorikeets. It makes a great medium sized screening plant. Add something a little different to the garden. Available for pick up or order online
