With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we'd share a few security tips with you once again:

•Do not advertise your home or whereabouts on social media.
•Leave a radio on low when leaving home, even for short time.
•Turn down the volume of your telephone, and do not leave a message stating you are away.
•If going away – give the appearance that someone is home. Have a neighbour park a car in your driveway and have the rubbish bin put out and put away on rubbish days.

Just got a nice new flat screen TV, Ipad, tablet, computer or Laptop? Don't let your guard down when it comes to getting rid of the box it came in. Ideally, wait till your recycle bin is empty then cut the box up & place in the bottom so all other recyclables go on top. Recycle night can be like late night shopping for thieves, just lift the lid while it's out on the road to see what's new in the house. Try to do the same with the foam when placing in the rubbish, even if it takes a couple of weeks, better to be safe than sorry!
