Position Vacant: Experienced Spray Painter

Paradise Kitchens is a family-owned custom-made Kitchen manufacturing company based in Wetherill Park.

We are now seeking a fully experienced and reliable spray painter to join our team.

About the Role:
This is a one-man job requiring a skilled tradesman with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
The role includes but is not limited to:

-Sanding
--Undercoating Doors and Panels
-Final spraying, and detail work
-Cleaning and setting up the spray booth
-Mixing Paint
-Ensuring high-quality finishes with precision
-Working alongside BC Coating Paints

Requirements:

Honest and reliable with strong attention to detail

Minimum 10 years of experience in spray painting for kitchen cabinet doors

Ability to work long hours and weekends if needed

Able to work independently and take full responsibility for the job

We are essentially looking for someone with a can-do attitude and has attention to detail who is reliable and keen to further their skills in the trade.

Incorporating an Island Benchtop into your Kitchen space can be confusing. It can become an overwhelming aspect of the Kitchen design process.

Do you find asking yourself the questions of how deep my island benchtop should be? Or do I include cabinetry on my island benchtop? Or do I make the Island benchtop a different color to the rest of the Kitchen cabinetry? Or do I make the Island benchtop a sitting area with a recess to place stools?

We want to discuss ideas on how you can minimize this stress when designing your Kitchen.

Essentially the Island benchtop becomes the social setting within a Kitchen environment. Whether it’s preparing a meal for the family to having friends over for a few drinks, you will always find yourself gathering around the island benchtop.

The first step of designing an Island benchtop is to consider the functionality and how it can maximize space efficiency as opposed to having the opposite effect. If you Kitchen layout doesn’t exactly allow you to incorporate the amount of cabinetry space you would like, this can certainly be achieved on your Island benchtop. Whether it’s a set of drawers or cabinets with adjustable shelves, make sure to always advise your Kitchen designer of what you intend to maximize within that space.

A standard depth of an Island benchtop starts at approximately 900mm wide and can essentially extend up to 2m wide. The depth will all depend on the space you have to work with and what you intend to use your island benchtop for. Typically a 300mm overhang would be required for a breakfast bar style to house stools. At the end of the day the Island benchtop takes up most of the space in the kitchen and it’s important to ensure there is enough room for people to walk around the island easily. Ideally you would want to leave a minimum of 900mm between the space of the cabinetry and the Island benchtop. If sufficient room is not left for you to walk around the island once the Kitchen has been installed, the space will appear overcrowded.

If you are trying to achieve maximum bench space for food preparation or aim to have your sink or cooktop featured on the Island, the depth of the benchtop will also need to be taken into consideration based on these aspects.

In terms of the design aspect of the Island benchtop, some like to use their island as a feature in their Kitchen. Whether you choose to have the Island benchtop a different color to the rest of the cabinetry or add paneling to the face of the island, this is entirely personal preference at the end of the day.
