Check out this beast we found in Mt Crawford yesterday 👇🍄😍 I’ve walked the hills for many years and never seen anything like it. Was approx 18cm diameter.
Could be Phaeolus schweinitzii/Dyer's polypore?
The forest is coming to life after a couple dry seasons…. Cold fresh air, is good for the soul 🌱

Take a few mins to call out the disrespectful local Aramex drivers if you have issues.

He read a hand written sign on the gate asking to gently place over the fence, and then frisbee’d the fragile parcel approx 2.5m.

The sign was there, as they left the gate open last time, and we have dogs 🤬

This is one of multiple incidents lately. Still waiting on that call back (assumably) from overseas…. 🙄

Today we were lucky to be able to get onboard Matilda, from Wildlife Recovery Australia. This beast of a truck is the only one in Australia/possibly the world. $2.5million of fully self sufficient; solar panels, inbuilt generator, batteries, water storage…. and a fully equipped state of the art wildlife vet clinic that includes laboratory, X-rays, operating theatre etc 🤯. She travels around Australia to any area needed. She’s just on her way back from Exmouth after the tropical cyclone that hit recently. They attend natural disasters, fires etc- both very rewarding and heart breaking I’m sure. Currently 7 weeks on the road, they fly vets /other support in and out from Byron Bay (head office). She’s heading for Victoria as of this afternoon and up the east coast, stopping along the way to do wildlife clinics and visit the volunteers in wildlife rescue.
Thanks to Barossa Wildlife Rescue for being amazing as always, and inviting us to to visit the truck. I’m hoping it planted some seeds for my young volunteer 3 years into her wildlife journey 🙏

It’s that time again! Williamstown Garage Sale Day, Feb 7th. Heaps of houses registered.
Pleased to say we’ve reduced our unwanted crap in previous years, so will be sitting this one out! 😉🙌

It’s Williamstown’s Garage Sale today, there’s 40-50 garage sales in & around town to check out.
We weren’t organised enough to join in this year, but this was our high quality advertising from a few years back. I think my promotional skills have improved a bit since! 😉😂
