Sun π
Can you believe this is the same plant? Well, it is. The only difference, is SUN.
Full sun gets the Westerly against a brick wall and lives in a black pot. Can you see how red, tight, close together and wrinkled the leaves are? This is sun stress and while the plant isn't unhappy, it needs more water and nutrients. The red means the leaves are trying to prevent too much photosynthesis and loss of water.
Partial sun is hidden by my Easter Island man and gets arvo sun. This one is only watered by rain and generally neglected. It's leaves are longer than Full Sun and greener, as the leaves are trying to get more photosynthesis happening.
Midday sun gets limited light. This is what we would call stretched or etoliated. This is where the leaves spread wider and taller, and get greener to reach light. Sometimes succulents that are kept inside do this to signal that they need more light. These conditions are okay, but plants are more likely to rot especially if they get more water than needed.
