Meet Miguel.
As Head Chef at The Imperial at Clifton, he’s the driving force behind our new menu, leading the kitchen with equal parts creativity, precision and passion.
We sat down with Miguel for a quick Q&A to learn a little more about the person behind the plates:
🔸 How would your team describe you?
“The best boss.”
The kitchen has spoken.
🔸 Introduce yourself in three words.
“Chill. Humble. Hard-working.”
Can confirm, this is 100% accurate.
🔸 What do you do at The Imperial?
“I’m the Head Chef. I lead the kitchen operations and have just created our new menus.”
In other words, the reason you’re obsessed 😍
🔸 What excites you most about the new menu?
“Seeing months of creativity and hard work come to life and be so loved by customers. It’s so satisfying seeing all the happy faces and knowing that all the brand-new flavours and diversity of ingredients are allowing our customers to have an elevated experience that they’ll tell their friends about.”
🙏 🙏 🙏
🔸 Which dish should everyone order?
“The grilled market fish is the one! I get to explore with different types of fish each week to keep customers excited with the fresh, rotating flavours.”
The evidence supports the claim.
🔸 What’s your most controversial food opinion?
“Everything tastes better with coriander.”
We’re staying out of this one 🙈
🔸 What’s something guests would be surprised to learn about you?
“Even though I love cooking meat and seafood, I’ve been vegetarian for most of my life.”
That’s a plot twist you didn’t see coming.
From developing new dishes to keeping the kitchen running smoothly, Miguel’s fingerprints are all over the new menu.
Next time you’re dining with us, order the Grilled Market Fish, say hello to Miguel, and try not to mention coriander unless you’re prepared for a passionate discussion!
