It's with a heavy heart that we have decided to close down our business.

I am already at Uni and don't have the time to run it, and the guys are going to Uni next year as well (before they go, they are going on a long, well deserved holiday).

So we are closing down, taking many wonderful memories with us. I want to say a huge thank you to all of our guys who every single day put in an amazing amount of effort and love for our business. I want to say thank you to all of our past clients who gave us love and support on our journey.

This is a Pat and Lach appreciation Post!

Like a big V8, these guys are the engine that powers all the sawing at Ranges Wood Cutting.

They can saw more in a day together than most people can do in a week! Armed with powerful professional saws and sharp chains, they make it look easy!

Now that I'm at Uni, these guys have taken the reins and I've been blown away at the great service they have been providing for nearly a year now!

More warmth, less wallet!

Our new "Little logs" is a great alternative to the hardwood mix if looking to save a few pennies. At it's simplest its tree branches that were too small to be worthwhile splitting and hence we have put them through a saw bench instead.

Our hardwood mix has some of this mixed in as it is some of the densest and driest wood there is and makes great long burn times. But we are also selling full loads for slightly cheaper as we have so much of it and it's a slightly less familiar product.

The diameter of the logs are roughly as follows. 60% are 10-15 cm 20% are a bit smaller and 20% are a bit larger.

It's a good mixture to get the fire going and keep it going.

Back to it!

After a well earned break over Christmas and new year, the team is back at work.

Today we’ve been splitting wood out in Kyneton with the Superaxe and moving it up to the house with our tipper trailer. As usual, Jack and Ali are hard at work making sure everything fits in the fireplace.
