Annual Leave Notice Christmas 2024

Orlock Locksmiths will be closed for Christmas annual leave from 14th December 2024 until 12th January 2025. I will not be contactable as the phone will be message bank only and no calls will be answered until the 9 January 2025.

If you are in need of a locksmith over this time I suggest contacting Jason from Locktrix on 0449 654 989.

For restricted keys, you will have to wait until i get back on the 13th January or organise them before i go no later than the 12th December.

Hello All
How is everyone going out there, has it been cold, have you got those fires cranking.

As it is the start of winter it's about time to lubricate all your locks.. As the grease and metals get affected by the cold, why not go around and give all your locks a drink with a lanolin or silicon spray as it will stop the grease and other lubricants from seizing, and causing you to be locked out or in. The most affected locks are your sliding and hinged screen doors, letterbox locks, gates and garages or any lock out in the elements. Try NOT to use WD40 as it is a kerosene based lubricant that will cause problems down the track.

The lubricant that I have been trialing lately and have found that it works well is SCA Lanolin Spray Lubricant from Super Cheap Auto, and is only $10.49 a can (300g) as pictured it is also Non toxic & biodegradable.

If you would like I'm doing a special until the end of June, I will come and lubricate your locks for $60.00 which includes.
Lubricating and check up to 10 locks give or take a couple and no longer than 20mins labour.
