Well folks, that’s a wrap from us for the year.

Thank you so very much to our wonderful and supportive clients. It has been a bumpy couple of years for us but thankfully we have been able to have a strong finish to this year with a decent extension and a few renovations. We’re very much looking forward to 2026 with work currently well into February and beyond. We’ll be back on deck from Jan 12th.

Have you ever thought to yourself “where can I get a great quality door wedge?”?

It’s been a long running gag that when we’ve had larger renovations and new builds, we’ve typically needed a way to pin doors open to aid in movement. Several of our clients still have the wedges we made during construction. One of our current projects at Wyee is no different. Except now im writing our daysils on them. 🧐

We were recently lucky enough to do a bathroom reno. But not just any old reno. The original bathroom was very tired and was well overdue for some much needed love. There was some water damage in the walls and parts of the floor crumbled during demo. My wonderful customer who is also a friend brought some great ideas of opening up the space and simplifying the wet area by combining the bathroom with the toilet. Also it was the first time we had the opportunity to install fan tiles on a feature wall. The client loved the end result, we loved the end result, how about you?

Just completed this wonderful little job for a wonderful couple at Catherine Hill Bay. The back of the house is north facing and had no cover to the deck or over the back door. They are so thrilled that they have an all year round entertainment area now. As usual, big thanks to Attila and our young work experience fella Mitch for putting in the effort to complete this project within the clients timeframe.

Sometimes small changes can have a huge impact. This simple job was to replace the decking, handrails, and cover over the fascia and replace the guttering. The deck was originally a treated pine with multiple failures between the joists. We retreated the joist tops, flashed the deck frame and installed a new ModWood composite decking as well as replacing the original badly deteriorated balustrade with a custom made aluminium balustrade. These in combination with ColorBond fascia covers and half round guttering will ensure this house can be relatively low maintenance for a long time.

On a small job recently, we came into an interesting situation. One of the many small fixes we had was to repair the entry gate including a turned post k**b and a picket. Unfortunately it’s next to impossible to find these items anymore. But not when you take woodworking as seriously as we do. Can’t find it? Make it! 😎

Merry Christmas everyone! From our team to your family, we wish you a very happy and safe festive season.

We’ll be taking a short break to refresh after a very busy year. Our last day will be the 22nd of December and we’ll be back on deck as from the 8th of January. If you have any emergency work, we possibly could help out during the break so feel free to contact us if needed.
