Marina Tabassum is a world-renowned Bangladeshi architect and educator, internationally recognized for her environmentally sustainable and socially responsible architectural designs. In 2005, she founded Marina Tabassum Architects (MTA), based in Dhaka. Her notable works include: Bait Ur Rouf Mosque, Independence Monument and Independence Museum: Co-designed with architect Kashef Mahbub Chowdhury, this project is situated in Suhrawardy Udyan, Dhaka. Khudi Bari: A modular, affordable, portable, and eco-friendly house designed for people displaced by river erosion. In 2026, the Government of Bangladesh honored her with this national award "Ekushey Padak".
