Project Brief: This is a "Interior-Space Design” Project for a Multi-Tasking Corporate-Group operating both in International & Local Level. The Office is performing mainly Logistics Support and their main business is highly related to “The Port Authority” of Business Town Chittagong. The Port City ha s a vocabulary of its own. That should be reflected in the design process.
Location: The most significant character is its openness and higher above the ground that makes it relate to the existing surrounding Environment of the City where it is Located.
Site Area: The Existing Site is comprised of nearly 6,000 sft (560sqm) Floor Area with more of a Single and Unique Space.

Inspiration of this Design actually came out from the Dentists’ demands and requirements for the greater benefit of the Visitors/Patients. To increase their level of comfort so that they can enjoy the time being here and forget the pain-staking part of dental treatment.

PROJECT BREIF: This was an “Apartment Design Project" for Multiple Families living in a Single Building-Complex situated within a Residential Area.

DESIGN CONCEPT: The Concept of the Project was derived from the location of the plot. It was situated on a corner plot, so it had Roads along two of its sides. That gave it a more provision for Accessibility, Natural lighting-Ventilation and Openness for the design intended.

TECHNOLOGY AND MATERIALS: Also the Color of the Project was derived directly from the color of Sand or Mud and materials used in the Project are converted forms (naturally or artificially) of that single earthy element “Maati” which in Bengali means “Earth” similar to the name of the Project.

This was an "Entry Complex" having facilities for Outdoor Sitting Arrangement on the Rooftop where the Owner would like to meet some of his Guest coming from outside…The Ground floor comprised of Guard Room, Parking Space & Dwelling for some of the owner’s Servants and Drivers with ancillary facilities, while the second floor which act as an outdoor sitting facility had the Roof-garden. The Primary Notion was to give it a Grand Scale feeling…to people who come here, as it was the Entry of a Large-Scale Residence for the Owner, his Brother and their Families.
