We are delighted to share that our entry has been awarded the commendation award ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐จ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ค๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐๐, organized by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).

โThe story does not begin with the new building. It begins with the old faรงade, with its colonial proportions. The brief asks for the colonial faรงade to be preserved, even as it acknowledges the exclusionary history it represents. This contradiction becomes the project's central tension and its opportunity.
We respond by liberating the faรงade from its past.
Encased in glass, floating above water, the faรงade becomes a relic that has outlived its own authority. No longer a symbol of exclusion, it becomes a memory suspended in time, a veil between the garden and the grand banquet beyond. By isolating the faรงade, we allow the Club to retain its beauty while shedding its colonial authority.
This is the Club's new identity, sovereign, self-defined, and unafraid to reinterpret its past.โ
