We are thrilled to announce that two of our students from ARCH-08, Mehedi Hassan Palash and Tahmid Rana Khan, have secured the position of 1st Runners-Up in the BRACU ARCHWEEK ‘24 Design Charrette, organized by the Department of Architecture, BRAC University.

Their outstanding creativity, hard work, and dedication have made us proud. This remarkable achievement reflects their talent and the potential of our students to shine in competitive platforms.

Let’s celebrate their success and wish them even greater accomplishments in the future!

We would also like to take a moment to appreciate the efforts of all other participants. Your participation, talent, and dedication are truly commendable and exemplify the spirit of teamwork and perseverance.

Celebrating the remarkable achievement of our faculty and alumna, Ramisa Tasnim from ARCH-02 of the Department of Architecture, MIST, who has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship for 2024-2025! Ramisa will be pursuing her M.Arch at the renowned Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.

Heartiest Congratulations to Saraf Nawer (ARCH-04) on Winning the 9th Annual Inspireli Award!

We are immensely proud to announce that Saraf Nawer, an alumna from DoA, MIST, has been awarded the prestigious 9th Annual Inspireli Award in the Architecture category for her outstanding undergrad thesis project, “Tale of an Ocean: Oceanarium Complex at Sonadia”. Her project, which focuses on sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for Ecologically Critical Areas (ECA), stood out among 1,174 registered projects from 87 countries.

We, all members of the Department of Architecture at MIST, are incredibly proud of Saraf’s remarkable achievement. This milestone not only brings great honor to our department but also inspires and paves the way for future students to strive for excellence in architecture.

May the Almighty grant Saraf continued success in her journey as an architect, and may her future endeavors bring even more honor to her name and the profession.

We are pleased to announce with great pride that our alumni, Saraf Nawer from the ARCH-04 Batch, Department of Architecture, MIST, has achieved a significant milestone in the prestigious "Tamayouz Excellence Award for International Graduation Projects" of this year with her "Thesis Project" titled "Tale of an Ocean: Oceanarium Complex at Sonadia, Cox's Bazar." The project aimed to develop a lightweight, energy-efficient, and sustainable construction method capable of withstanding Sonadia's complex climatic conditions.

Among 422 teams and individuals representing 141 universities across 36 nations, her project has been recognized as one of the top 100 finalists. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to HER for this exceptional achievement.

The competition is still ongoing as the selection process advances toward the shortlisting and ultimate determination of the winners. We offer our best wishes to her as she progresses to the next phase of the competition. Her hard work, relentless efforts, and unwavering dedication serve as a source of immense pride for our institution, and we commend her wholeheartedly for this outstanding accomplishment.
