It has been a great honor to be a part of the conceptual development plan of 78.9-acre farmland at Lake Elmo, Minnesota, USA. The plan is mainly focused on the farmhouse and water system development of the area. The idea is, each of the individual private land owners will get 1.7-acre land with a surrounded water system (small ditch) for private small scale farming. In the master plan, an important feature of the water system is the Water Harmonica, to purifies water naturally and balances the water flow in the rainy season as well as to improve the water ecology. A community garden has been planned for the 20 private landowners which is also directly connected with the water system of the landscape. To make connections with the neighboring community of the western side of the farmland, a clubhouse and public park with various recreational activities have been planned. In the end, to remember the identity of the land and also to create a buffer between the main road and the farmhouse area, a part of the cultural landscape is been kept on the south entrance of the development.
