𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 - 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁

Following a recent update to our previous publication, we are sharing a revised version of three residential renovation projects currently underway on site.

The 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁, located in Chant d’Oiseau (Woluwe-Saint-Pierre), focuses on the first floor and on transforming the front and back façades with a more contemporary architectural expression.

The 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱, just 500m away, focuses on exterior façade insulation, while carefully preserving the house’s existing materials and identity.

The 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 project in Flemish Brabant involves a high-end full renovation with major structural interventions and a complete internal reorganization, aiming to preserve and enhance the property’s characteristic cottage-style features.

This update has been made in order to fully respect the privacy preferences of those involved. A sincere 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 for their trust and to the contractors for their commitment throughout these first phases of the works.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 !🤝

Very excited to announce a collaboration between Archi & Patri and 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

For the recently started villa renovation project in Hoeilaart (see previous post), site supervision is being led by 𝗝𝗼𝗲̈𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲, an experienced architect and friend with whom I studied architecture years ago.

At the beginning of this year, I mentioned a “change of direction” for Archi & Patri. Over the past months, our internal team structure has intentionally become more compact, while at the same time opening the door to new collaborations with other architecture practices. This approach allows us to 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲, 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 depending on each project’s specific needs.

I find this new dynamic both enriching and stimulating : a true 𝘄𝗶𝗻-𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 that creates value for everyone involved. It is a direction I’ll to continue developing in the future.

Three new 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 have recently started on site.

The first, located in the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱’𝗢𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘂 (Woluwe-Saint-Pierre), focuses on the first floor and on transforming the front and back façades with a more contemporary architectural expression.

From 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 ✨

Two completed residential projects in the Chant d’Oiseau area (Woluwe-Saint-Pierre), where Archi & Patri has proudly become a true “𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁”..

Both houses were originally rather 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿. Our approach was to 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 and bring a stronger architectural expression. In these two projects, we combined 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, turning insulation into an opportunity for 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

• A 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of a semi-detached house, combining brickwork and render, with the addition of a 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿. A complete interior and exterior renovation—carried out while the clients continued living in the house.

• A 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of another semi-detached house, replacing the dual-pitch roof and introducing 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 and a 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁-𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿, giving access to a 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲. Small 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 for an 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿-𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺. A project focused on the closed structural shell and part of the technical systems, with the client completing the interior finishings.

A look behind the scenes at 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶 & 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶 🎥

Our colleagues 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 and 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲 recently took part in a training session in Lille to deepen their skills in 𝗦𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗨𝗽.

These 𝟯𝗗 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 are a key tool in our practice, helping us clearly communicate our projects to 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗸 (𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗴𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘆)

This project involves the full renovation of a Brussels townhouse, harmoniously paired with its left-hand neighbor, which features distinctive blue brick bands.

The 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 has been carefully restored: faded pink brick bands re-enameled, cornice fully repaired and completed, and original entrance door replaced while preserving and restauring its ironwork and handle. All architectural details (windows, balcony guardrails, …) 𝗮𝗿𝗲 maintained and restored, keeping the building’s heritage character intact.

At 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶 & 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶, we value the importance of collaboration in this kind of global high-quality renovation. It was made possible through the excellent coordination between client, contractors and architects. We’re keen on 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴’𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 while increasing the comfort for its future occupants and reducing its ecological footprint.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 “𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱’𝗢𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘂” — (𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 – 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝟰)

As part of our monthly series on the recently completed project in Chant d’Oiseau — after façades, interior and roof — we now highlight the 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

𝗔 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 complements the Anglo-Norman house. Timber formworked concrete and first choice oak together with large glassed surfaces in aluminum frames meet traditional red bricks, tiles, and smaller windows.

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀! 🚨

We are thrilled to announce the 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁 for this 700 m² house in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert has been obtained! Many thanks to the 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for their professional support.

Adapting the project to meet regional requirements, 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶 & 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶 ensured the 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 could be maintained by enlarging the basement to relocate the garage. The property includes 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, preserving the a mixed-use dimension of the project.

In the meantime, preparing the 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 was a major endeavor: structural, technical, and finishing plans; stability study; detailed drawings ; …

The tender dossier is now launched, with 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 to showcase the scale and specifics of the renovation works.
