Some details are designed to disappear. Others quietly define the space.

In this Antwerp townhouse by am designs, our core round switches and outlets become part of the interior’s carefully considered material palette. Brushed Copper echoes the warmth of the brass-toned lighting and fittings throughout the home, while Black Bronze introduces a deeper, more understated contrast.
For this project, the switches and outlets were flush-mounted rather than surface-mounted, allowing them to sit even more precisely within the wall finish.

From the generous ceiling heights to the bespoke joinery, travertine and refined wall treatments, craftsmanship can be felt throughout every room.

In this interior, our brushed nickel outlets become part of a calm and coherent material palette, balancing warm tones with a refined metallic detail. They are subtle in presence, precise in finish and naturally integrated into the architectural language.

One Collection. Five distinct expressions.

With five carefully defined shapes and a range of button configurations, the Core Collection offers a quiet framework for composition. Round, square, pin, hex or needle — each form brings its own character, while remaining part of one coherent architectural language.

Beyond these core layouts, each plate can be further tailored through custom combinations, functions, engravings and finishes. Allowing the smallest architectural detail to respond precisely to the wider interior concept.

A study in silence, balance and refinement.
In her work, Anne-Cathérine Ramboux composes interiors with a careful balance between economics and design. Influenced by art, fashion and travel, her spaces feel layered, calm and intentional.

A finish is never just a colour.

At Quincalux, Jullight and SUMUM, every surface is prepared, refined and treated with care to create depth, texture and character. Through the SUMUM Colour Concept, this craftsmanship becomes part of one shared finish language, extended through the architectural hardware of Quincalux nv and the lighting pieces of Jullight.

From raw brass transformed into architectural hardware in Wevelgem to lighting pieces that are handcrafted, precisely cast and finished as tactile objects, each detail carries its own process.

Different disciplines, one shared attention to material depth, refined finishing and the quiet power of detail.

In this countryside project, Studio STRAF brings together reclaimed materials, bespoke elements and natural textures to create a warm and layered environment. Every detail is part of a larger whole.

Selected as part of this process, ROUND switches in Dark Canon de F***l become more than functional elements. They act as signature details, adding rhythm, tactility and a refined contrast within the interior.

Some spaces are made to be seen. Others are made to be felt.

COMPOSED MATTER at 3daysofdesign was created around that idea. Curated by Norm Architects, the exhibition brought SUMUM, Søuld and Motarasu together in a setting that invited visitors to slow down, look closer and experience design through the body.

Because a room is never only functional. It can influence how we breathe, move, gather and rest. And when a space is made with materials and details people continue to value, maintain and live with over time, it becomes more than a moment. It becomes something that can age, adapt and stay meaningful.

Within that vision, SUMUM brought the human gesture into the room. The switch may be a small architectural element, but it is also one of the most intimate: the point where the hand meets the space and the atmosphere changes.
In this exhibition, our architectural hardware became part of that quiet interaction between body, material and interior. Sometimes visible, sometimes almost invisible, but always connected to the way a room is experienced.
