Our 2026 summer / resort collection and the house in Bokrijk are gaining momentum at the start of summer. House of Marylène Madou at ‘t Poorthuys is mentioned as a new hotspot in the summer edition of L'Officiel Belgium , our kaftan scarf dresses are featured in Feeling magazine and NINA and magazine Navenant Magazine focused on the story behind Hotel Maison Madou (the name and inspiration for our yearly resort / summer collection).

Before it’s turned into textiles for a myriad of fashion and homeware purposes, it’s first of all a painting, a drawing, a collage. Created by hand by Marylène and preserved in our archive in , this one is finished now, you’ll probably see it appear in one of our next resort collections… Riviera Flamingo’s.

On Saturdays I tend to move some of my design work from the atelier upstairs to the shop downstairs, so you can have a look at what I’m working on during your weekend shopping spree. It sparks conversations about where my artwork comes from and I do love to share the stories behind it.

My camera roll these past 2 weeks… a lot of nature, a lot of art, a lot of gardens. Thank you so much for all of your positive reactions on the collection we did with , the drawings and designs I did for those items really capture the life I’m living at the moment. Finding inspiration in nature, taking the time to draw again, be with my family and dog, and meet with clients personally as much as possible. I had a great time during which was kind of the ‘finissage’ for the bouquet I designed for them, leading a painting workshop for a private group. Don’t hate me for using the word ‘grateful’, but that’s how I feel if I can just create and use colors. Thank you for presenting the bouquet in Paris and taking it to the next level. A project to remember.

I have one limited edition bouquet left and online. Get it while you can to enjoy a joyful addition to your interior.

Sending the team on a mental health walk here is next level. 🌸 Our atelier is located on the gorgeous park grounds of Bokrijk and if I’m looking for a new flower to draw, I just need to step outside.
