~ What makes the Uulki barbecue tongs different from other wooden bbq tongs? The quality! Regular wooden food tongs may have a weak spot if they're not glued together well, and as a result may fall apart after some time. Therefore we make our wooden food tongs stronger by drilling a screw on both sides of the tong. We gave it a stylish touch by choosing black screws 🖤

~ We place our logo on each individual wooden item. Here you see us hot stamping grooved wooden spatulas. Just before hot stamping, we check the quality of the wood and sand if necessary. Quality control is an ongoing process at Uulki :-)

~ Meet our newest Uulki family member: Uulki natural boiled linseed oil ! Great to use for all types of indoor and outdoor wood, such as furniture, cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, garden wood. Suitable for all types of wood, such as pine, walnut, cedar, teak, beech, plywood, …
🌻 Available in 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 L
🌱 Natural boiled linseed oil: free from solvents, and also free from cobalt, manganese and lead drying additives, and free from lead.
🌻 Fast drying: dilution is not necessary, but optional
🌱 Use also for: You can also use it as rust protection for metal and to protect stone, concrete, and terracotta tiles.
🌻 Instructions: start with a clean and dry surface. Apply a coat with a roller, brush, or lint-free rag. Let the oil soak for 30 minutes, before you remove any excess oil. If you forget this step, the surface may be sticky afterwards. Apply 2 to 3 coats at 12 to 24 hours intervals. Use Uulki boiled linseed oil pure or thin with a solvent. With 250 ml linseed oil you can oil approx. 5 m2 / 500 ml linseed oil: ca. 10 m2 / 1 L boiled linseed oil: ca. 20 m2.

Deforestation is sadly still a thing. At Uulki we only collaborate with businesses who harvest their wood in sustainably managed forests. In these forests clear cutting will never happen, because a great biodiversity is key. Instead, a forest manager carefully selects the trees that can be harvested without it having a negative impact on the ecosystems that live there.
