Roterij Sabbe has been completed.

Along the river Leie in Kuurne, this former flax retting site carries the memory of labour, water, steam and industry. This restoration didn't hide these traces, but highlighted it's industrial origin: the retting chambers, reservoirs, pipes, chimney and machinery continue to shape the site’s identity.

With targeted interventions and maximum care for what was already there, the former rotery is now refreshed and ready for a new use.

De Loods, aNNo’s maakplek

De Loods is de nieuwe uitbreiding van ons aNNo atelier: een open plek om te maken, te denken, te testen en samen te werken. Hier geven we, samen met de creatievelingen van de ontwerp-poel, ruimte aan experiment en nieuwe ideeën.
De inrichting groeide vanuit het hele team. In workshops dachten we na over hoe De Loods ons atelier nog beter kan ondersteunen: flexibel, efficiënt en met veel aandacht voor wat er al is.
Een gedreven kernteam bracht die ideeën tot leven. Stap voor stap kreeg de ruimte vorm, met een materialenbibliotheek, mobiele werktafels, verrolbare prikborden, een lichtbak, kitchenette en ruime workshopplek.
Een gedeelde maakplek waar atelierwerk, co-working en creativiteit elkaar versterken.

Boerhaave is now live on our website.

On the Stuivenberg site in Antwerp, a former pharmacist’s house has been adapted into a home for sheltered housing.

Existing rooms, warm colours, garden views and small architectural shifts come together to create a calm and familiar place for six residents. The project continues the site’s long history of care, now through everyday living.

Looking back at Hof ter Beemt.

In this private cohousing project, historic barns and farm buildings were carefully reworked into warm interiors, each shaped around the needs of its residents. Heritage here is not distant or monumental, it becomes part of everyday life. Working quietly with what was already there, we created a home for different lives, rhythms and forms of togetherness.

Burenberg has been delivered, and the site returns to use.

At Broeders van Liefde, the restored and adapted buildings are now inhabited. The photographs on the website have also been updated to reflect this moment.

Gathered, wrapped and carefully stored.

It's often in these moments of displacement that the relationship between objects, spaces and practices becomes most visible. A site reveals itself not as an architectural element, but as a constellation of relationships, continuously reassembled over time.

Much of what keeps historic places alive has rarely been monumental.
Care, maintenance and everyday use — often carried by women — have shaped buildings just as much as design decisions.
On International Women’s Day, we reflect on the forms of labour, attention and presence that architecture has long relied on, but seldom acknowledged.
