Architecture, Urbanism & Gender:
towards greater inclusivity in design, research and education
The research labs AIA and SUFI BATir (École polytechnique de Bruxelles, ULB), in collaboration with WomInTech and OpenLab.brussels , are organising a cycle of events dedicated to the intersections between architecture, urban planning and gender.
This series aims to integrate inclusivity into design, research and teaching practices, adopting an intersectional perspective attentive to diverse experiences of exclusion and overlapping power structures (gender, class, origin, age, abilities, etc.).
The approach is inter-, trans- and multidisciplinary, creating dialogue across academic, institutional, professional and community spheres.
Each session includes expert talks followed by a roundtable to encourage knowledge sharing and the co‑creation of concrete actions.
