Variegated squamiferum (fuzzy petiole philo) on !! ✌️☀️

Such a lovely color contrast. One of the more slower growers here. But finally a new leaf pops out. Cataphyll was for a long time thickening. 🫣

It was so long on my wishlist. This one. Still lets say expensive in these times. But way less. Then 3 years ago. The petioles have hairs all over the place. Its feels even soft. When you touch them. So catchy !!

In comparison with other philo’s. It needs to have a more light moist rootball with a good chunky mix. I just keep it and grow it. Like a melano or other botanical types. That needs more moist at the rootball.

Also leaves can get huge. Saw a few photos. When i was chatting with lovely people of asia. They grow way faster there. ☺️

I work now on my own plants. The most at night. So hot still.🥵

Switching my to pon today !! All info about pon subtrate and !! 🪴

Very important that all soil mix is gone of yoor roots. Soak your pond substrate good. So it can work the fullest. Biggest perks are less or no more fugnus gnats/better water balance/you can really see. When you need to add water in the reservoir.

Just a home made version here from the past. That is using today. So many types you have. Like from elho/ikea/lechuza etc.

Just put it in the ikeagreenhousecabinet !! Let it grow !! 🌿

Always new cuttings and plants with me. 👀☺️ Today Monstera aurea’s: small form head cutting (borgsigiana ) and Yellow Marylin grown up wetstick !! 🪴👌🏻

Still propogating plants the fullest. Even with these temperatures !! 🥵

Sometimes i do plantcare at night for my indoor plants. ☺️ Especially with these sunny and very warm days.☀️

Placed some sensitive plants to the north side of the house. Its a bit cooler there.🪴

3 cutted plants of !! 💚

Check how much these grown up. Head cutting popping up the biggest leaf of the fresh ones.🌿✌️

With these warm temperatures. I don’t keep these at the veranda for long.🫣🥵

Dry air and less humidity can give different problems. Like more chance of spider mites and thrips (they love warm and dry air flow) !!

Sometimes you can spot a yellow leaf. Spider mites can give this leaf color. But a yellow leaf can have 20 different things. A few are normal in fact. Like a different stage of your plant is coming. Old leaf is gone with the bottom cutting. A last picture and cut it off atm.

Biggest tip atm: check your plants more frequently for watering and humidity level !! 💦 It could change rapidly.☺️

also burn spots can happen more. These days !! 🔥

So move your plants or use other ways to protect them from midday direct sunlight.👀

Brown Beauty with a cathcy brown/bronze foilage with yellow spots !! 💚🙌

Its a hybrid between Florida Beauty and black billietiae (very dark petioles and leaf backs) !! 🪴

Some new growth coming up atm. After i got it. I love the dark vibe and colors in every leaf.🌿

Still Begonia’s like higher humidity level and keep those rootball light moist always. Doing very well at his partly shade spot. A few meters of a window !! 🙌

My chopped variegated monstera. That is just grow wild and free !! 🫣💚 Just got another cutting of it. So tiny vs the motherleaf.☺️

Still using this motherplant. Just what happens. When you don’t lean a plant up. ✌️

Monstera’s love a rootball. That dries out between water gifts and yes drainage is important for the plant types. So drainage a chunky mix with perlite/bark or loose cocos fibre is recommended. Offcourse you have so many substrates to grow up a plant. These days.👀

Today a variegated joepii !! 💚 Named after Joep Moonen. So a true honor for the name. ✌️

Its comes from French Guiana and a few other small area’s. There are speculations of a natural crossing between bipennifolium and pedatum. Just from mother’s nature. But still not 100% sure on that part.

It could be. If i look to the fenotype. ☺️

This type was so expensive 3-4 years ago. Even just a green one. So it was a long time on the wishlist. First impressions. A more slower grower. First new airealroot coming up and thickening cataphyll. Lets see !! 🪴
