Proud of my new watercolour! After a very long wait, it’s my first in a « large » 55 x 55cm format, and I’m very happy with the result. The grimace of my children, the sunglasses, the tongue-tied, there’s a rock spirit that I like! And what about you?

Here's a quick watercolour portrait of my second goddaughter, Louise aged 6. We're spending our second week of holiday with her family, and I took advantage of a rainy day to practise watercolours with her and her twin sister. Louise really enjoys drawing and it brought us closer together.

I think I could slightly accentuate the depth of some of the shadows in the portrait, but for the moment I'm mainly enjoying the holidays with my loved ones 🥰

Yesterday we celebrated with clients, my team and our families the end of a great project and the start of our summer holidays! It was an opportunity for me to offer my clients 2 small watercolours of the building work. I did two because the first was customised by my young son, who wanted to complete my drawing. I had to crop it drastically 😅
Finally, it was a chance for me to get out my watercolour brushes again, ideal just before the holidays!
And it was also a chance for me to post something on Instagram after 4 months' virtual absence from the network!

Here’s a detail of my urban painting. I wanted to explore a textured graphic, made of stains, drips, washes overlaid, using the grain of the canvas. It’s not finished, but I’m quite happy with the result. I have fun diluting the colours in gloss varnish, there is a playful experimental side. What do you think?

2 weeks since my last post. 2 weeks without networking, but also 2 weeks without painting anything! 2 weeks of holidays taking care of my boys, enjoying the parties, my family, the time off. We played, visited museums, saw friends, loved ones. Two weeks disconnected that felt good, despite the IG algorithm master. Sorry for all the posts I didn't like, the comments I didn't reply to...I have some catching up to do 😅
So I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a great year 2023, projects and dreams. And even both at the same time.

For the occasion, I bring out a painting that is about fifteen years old. Trees beaten by the wind opening towards new shores... and in addition, a bonus photo !

!! 8 months ago, my wife Elsa had the great idea to push me to pick up my brushes after 6 years without painting. And I thank her so much... A therapy through colour to escape my mind a few hours a week... Very quickly a friend convinced me to create an insta account. 2 months later, the first 100 people showed interest in my art work. Reaching 1000 seemed totally utopian, unrealistic... at least not that fast, because here I am 6 months later, I can thank you. You, the 1000 followers who brought me friendship, interest, support or even just a glance. It's heartwarming, because I'm not the most bankable or productive. And you are still here! Thank you all!
