This meaningful collaboration shaped the international journey of many young architects, including Larissa, who completed her internship at RPBW through the program. The visit was also a special opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues — including , Fellow at RPBW — and reflect on the legacy of this inspiring exchange.

Casa Europa – Project Kick-off in Rio de Janeiro
A new phase begins for Casa Europa, the new headquarters of the French Consulate in Rio de Janeiro.
We are pleased to announce the start of construction works, marked by a kick-off meeting with representatives from the Consulate of France, ATRIA, and contractor Sempre Engenharia.
This collaborative project brings together diplomacy, architecture, and engineering — and we are proud to contribute to a space that will represent France in Brazil with elegance and high technical standards.

We are thrilled to announce that ATRIA has been selected for the prestigious renovation project for Casa Europa, the French Consulate in Rio de Janeiro. Casa Europa is a symbol of French diplomacy and a vital part of Rio de Janeiro's architectural legacy.
The building is owned by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a gesture of diplomacy and partnership, it has been occupied by the French and German Consulates, along with other international agencies, in downtown Rio since 2013.
ATRIA has been delegated to complete the renovation of the building's infrastructure and to manage the entire renovation process.
At ATRIA, we are dedicated to maintaining the historical integrity of this iconic structure while integrating modern functionality and adaptability. Our approach honors the rich blend of politics, culture, architecture, and preservation, ensuring that Casa Europa continues to serve as a prominent symbol of Franco-Brazilian relations.

With meticulous care, we will restore the embassy compound, including the cherished gardens designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Burle Marx.
Taking on full responsibility for this prestigious project, ATRIA pledges to uphold the highest standards in construction management, ensuring the seamless enhancement of the chancellery, ambassador's residence, and diplomats' quarters.
