FACADE AS INTERFACE

Facades are instruments of orientation, performance, and presence. In SPOL’s projects, they respond to different scales of the urban fabric, from residential towers to mixed-use buildings. In dense cities, the facade is a decisive boundary.

CURVED CONTINUITIES

Designing in curves is drawing movement, continuity, and a relationship with the surroundings.

In SPOL’s projects, curved geometry expands perspectives and creates façades that are permeable to light, biophilia, and collective use. Curves bring architecture, the city, and the landscape closer together.

CPH House // Housing

CPH House is defined by the articulation of two horizontal volumes positioned within the landscape. The upper level extends outward, creating a covered area below and establishing a direct relationship with the terrain. Large glazed openings frame long views and bring consistent light into the interior. Outdoor spaces are integrated as extensions of the living areas, reinforcing continuity between house and garden.

A Casa CPH é definida pela articulação de dois volumes horizontais inseridos na paisagem. O pavimento superior se projeta, criando áreas cobertas no térreo e estabelecendo uma relação direta com o terreno. Grandes aberturas em vidro enquadram as vistas e garantem iluminação constante no interior. Os espaços externos são incorporados como extensões das áreas internas, reforçando a continuidade entre casa e jardim.

CPH House // Housing

At the core of CPH House, the staircase organizes circulation and defines the spatial layout. A continuous black element guides movement through the house, contrasting with the wood flooring and curved white surfaces. The geometry unfolds gradually, connecting the different levels and framing views between them. Circulation becomes a central architectural component of the interior.

No centro da Casa CPH, a escada organiza a circulação e define a configuração dos espaços. Um elemento contínuo em preto conduz o percurso, em contraste com o piso de madeira e as superfícies curvas brancas. A geometria se desenvolve gradualmente, conectando os níveis e estabelecendo relações visuais entre eles. A circulação se consolida como um componente central da arquitetura interna.

CPH House explores the balance between structure and landscape through precise volumes and generous openings. Large glass surfaces frame the surrounding vegetation, extending the interior toward the exterior and reinforcing a continuous spatial experience. The upper volume projects outward, creating a suspended viewpoint over the garden while defining sheltered spaces below. Material restraint and clarity guide a domestic environment closely tied to its context.

Hotel Santa Teresa // Hospitality, Re-use

A composition of volumes unfolds along the hillside, adapting to the existing topography and preserving the density of the vegetation. Circulation follows the terrain, connecting rooms, terraces and shared spaces through a continuous landscape. Each intervention is precise, allowing the natural environment to remain the protagonist. The project operates as an extension of the forest.

Hotel Santa Teresa // Hospitality, Re-use

Existing structures are preserved and reinterpreted as part of a broader landscape strategy. New volumes are introduced with restraint, creating a dialogue between past and present. Green roofs, terraces and open façades extend the vegetation across all levels, dissolving boundaries between building and site. Architecture operates as continuity rather than contrast.

Novos volumes são inseridos com precisão, estabelecendo um diálogo entre passado e presente. Set within a steep, green hillside, the project is shaped by its dialogue with the landscape. Volumes are embedded into the terrain, creating layered spaces where architecture and vegetation coexist and define each other.

Each unit establishes a distinct relationship with its surroundings: garden, terrace, or distant view. More than rooms, the proposal offers spatial experiences rooted in the Brazilian landscape.

Implantado em um terreno íngreme e densamente vegetado, o projeto nasce da relação direta com a paisagem. Os volumes se inserem no relevo, criando camadas onde arquitetura e vegetação coexistem.

Cada unidade se define por uma relação específica com o entorno: jardim, terraço ou vista. Mais do que quartos, a proposta oferece experiências espaciais ancoradas na paisagem brasileira.

From the street, Ventura reveals how scale is negotiated within a dense urban fabric. A more solid base supports the tower, defining the ground and framing the public realm, while upper volumes shift to respond to light, views and openness. The building reads as a sequence of layers, where each transition mediates between city intensity and everyday living.

Three façades, three readings of the same building. Ventura translates its mixed program into distinct expressions, where structure, rhythm and depth respond to different scales of the city.
